Case Study A - Database Medical Application

A well-established general practitioner, with three consultants and four administration staff, contracted us to build a database solution. After having looked at other software, it was discovered that they did not fit the complex needs of the practice. Some features were missing and none of them was customisable to the level of detail deemed necessary.

We analysed the requirements of the practice and developed a prototype. Based on the feedback, we implemented a complete custom-built solution and installed it onto each of the surgery's desktops. The application was created using SQL, Visual Basic and Microsoft Access 2000. A central server was set up to control the database with a guarantee of synchronisation and quick response time.

After a highly successful first year in operaton, we again investigated any possible additional needs. Our intimate knowledge of the workings of the practice allowed us to suggest functionality that they had not even considered. The system is now HL7 compliant and IS0-9000 accredited. We plan to have yearly reviews in order to increase system functionality.

Case Study B - Network Administration and Computer Maintenance

A professional business located in Galway City contacted us in regard to their computer infrastructure. Prior to contacting us, they had dealt with some other computer companies but found that none of these offered the same broad range of services and technical support that we do.

We first upgraded the network to reach the current available standards. Once this was done, we carried out a successful migration on all their machines from Windows NT to Windows 2000 and XP. Active Directory and their central file server were then configured to meet both secure and efficient requirements. Both Broadband Internet Access and Remote Computer Access were made available. Subsequently, we have helped with the selection of, and implemented the most reliable & cost-effective business software along with any additional computer equipment needs.

We provide regular maintenance for their network and computers as well as general IT support.
